Symptoms but not sure whats wrong!

Hello, I had sex last week and after the sex a few days later I started to get a very red, itchy, burning feeling all around my vagina and vulva, there was a thick white discharge but not a ton of it, it was extremely uncomfortable.

I went to the doctor who took some swabs and a urine sample for std and other testing
I never heard back if anything was wrong and they said they would call if anything was abnormal, my symptoms are still so uncomfortable I feel like I just want to itch all the time and the skin there is peeling now

I went back to get my results and they said everything was normal, but under the test it says "microscopy: few pus cells seen, YEAST cells seen, gram-stain not consistent with bacterial vaginosis.

if yeast cells were seen does that mean it could be a yeast infection? or is it normal to have yeast cells in a gram stain? please help any advice would be great
