i had a 2 day period

I had a 2 day period last month, my period came on around the 10 when I usually get it, I took a test and it said negative, this month my period came on Early on the 2nd and stayed on for 4 days.. Last month I had cramping pain on my right side which I was told were where my ovaries are located, but this month the pain is on the left, what is happening

It can all be confusing to figure out.  We do alternate sides when we ovulate and this may be why you are having the back and forth of cramping.  But I'm not sure why your period is so irregular.  Some people are like that but this sounds new for you.  2 days is a bit of a short cycle as the average is 3 to 7 days.  If this continues, you might want to go see your doctor to discuss this and maybe have your hormone levels checked.  Hopefully it will regulate soon!  (the negative pregnancy test though is a good indicator that you aren't pregnant and this is more hormonally related.  A doctor can confirm that for you though).  good luck
