Vaginal Itching

SZ6
I recently got off my period and had sex with my boyfriend for the first time in about a week.  We have been having sex for over 4 months with no problems, however, this time there was a problem.  As always, he used a condom and we started having sex and I was very well lubricated  We went on for a while then I completely dried out, but continued for a few more minutes.  When we ended, I felt like my inner vaginal walls were very sore but ignored it.  The next morning I experienced vaginal itching and a slight burning sensation throughout the day.  It has been 2 days and I have not had sex but the symptoms have continued.  Does anyone know what this could be?  I thought maybe it was just tears in the inner vaginal wall, but I can not be for certain.
I have had no discharge
I take no oral contraceptives
and it is not a UTI, I know what that feels like

Its happened to me a few times as well, sometimes its even swollen quite large.  whenever it got really itchy (only lasts a few days) I would clean w/ a mild soap and put some babypowder on it.  and just like she said it just chapped. give the sex a break for a few days
