Vaginal lesion

About 5 days ago I developed a strange lesion in my inner labia, very close to my vaginal entrance.  I didn't think much of it, until I got a fever and fell very ill.  When I was at the doctor for this, I had them look at the lesion, but as I've never had sex before they told me it was just an irritation from tight pants and underwear.  Simultaneous with this flu-like virus, the lesion appears to be getting worse and much more painful and I think there may be another forming directly opposite of it.  On top of this, I got my period and now all that junk is flowing directly onto and into the sore.  What is this! What should I do about it?

If it is a cut like a paper cut lesion then you probably need something like Canestan cream to help it heal up. If you can wear tampons till your period is finished it will help the healing process.

Often the reason they don't heal fast is due to the moisture there. If you can sit with your legs wide open and no undies for a an hour a day, maybe while watching tv or in your bedroom reading a book, you can have that dry out faster.

Sometimes we get those little lesions from not even realising we have wiped ourselves to fast or hard with toilet paper. Try to wear looser knickers for a while to help it heal too.

If in the next few days you get a fever, do go back to the doctor. It may just be coincidental timing of the cut and the flu-like symptoms, but a fever indicates infection and needs treating.

It doesn't seem as cyst-like as a Bartholin Cyst..

I would get a second opinion on this. It sounds like a Bartholyns Gland cyst. You can google it for more on it, I have had this before and it gets infected and becomes very painful and grows in size. It is not from sex, my dr aslo said that it is from tight pants and bacteria. It probably needs to be lanced and you need to be on antiobiotics.
