What is this?

I was cured from bacterial vaginosis 3 weeks ago. The doctor had gave me antibiotics an I took all of the medication and she told me the side effects of the pill were a yeast infection. I am still having horrible burning and a slight itching but when I went back to the doctor yesterday she said she didn't see any infections (yeast nor bacterial vaginosis ) so what can this be !!!

Hello,
Bcaterial vaginosis is not an infection and it does not cause vaginal itching. These symptoms can be due to fungal yeast infection or candidiasis. The best tests involved in the diagnosis of candida are scrapping or swab examination of the scrapings after KOH mounting. The other test that can be done is fungal culture of the scrapings from the tongue of the vaginal swabs.
Try to avoid wearing tight underwear and pants.  Wear cotton underwear as much as possible and maintain proper hygiene.  You can use antifungal pessaries.
It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.

Did your Dr do a swab? If not, she should have. Another question. Are you having sex and if so did your partner get treated too? If he did'nt then the two of you could be passing the infection back and forth to each other.
