IUD and UTI
I got my first IUD (mirena) inserted on 4/17/2018. Two days after , I got the UTI for the first time in my life. The doctor gave me antibiotic for 5 days and my symptom was resolved. I starts having symptom of UTI again two weeks after , I tried to drink more water but the symptom was just getting worst. I went to see my doctor again today (6/4) and she sent a urine sample to the lab so I am not sure if I have UTI again or not. I am wondering are there any association between mirena and UTI. I didn't have sex since 3/22/2018 and I have never had an UTI when I was sexually active.
