patch of sores on my bikini line/inner thigh

A few days ago I noticed a patch of about 4 or 5 small, red bumps on my bikini line. I do shave that area, but I haven't for a while. I didn't think anything of them until the next day when they became larger and painful. Since then they have become larger. They are each about the size of 2 pieces of rice stuck together. They are red, but the inside is a sort of white color. There is not pus coming out of them, but they are very painful. What might this be? Is there a way for me to get rid of it without going to the doctor?
