Choked myself (AEA) for too long

I made the mistake of trying breath okay on myself without a knowledge refresher. I'm single so I don't have a spotter obviously. I'm now learning you should only choke someone for 15~30 secs. I had a belt around my neck for at least 10 minutes. It was definitely pushing on my trachea. Now everything is tight and it's kind of hard to breath, even though there's no belt. What should I do? Is this permanent?

Alright, let me lay it out. That is dangerous and you should NEVER do it again. The choking game is no game and can have deadly consequences. No more, okay?  You possibly damaged your voice box or trachea from the act of strangulation. If you have trouble breathing or swallowing, you should go the the emergency room. You'll likely recover but you have an injury at this point.

Thank you. My mom looked at it. I was over-reacting, there was just some slight swelling. A few days later, and I'm fine. I can still sing too.
