Leaving Forum (Part 2)

I've decided that it is best that I leave the forum. I'm only posting this so I can have one last chance to thank all of those who've helped me over the last two and a half years. I wish all of you the best.

Lol ...Kyle you're one of the main reasons I stuck around when I first came here.  I was really weak back then, but your "no bullsh*t and no sob stories" energy was what I related to most.  It's your kind of responses that are especially "fire-starting" in the souls that are stuck in pity or hopelessness or delusion.  Your manner is often used by my own psyche when I'm grasping at last ditch effort to pull myself from the bowels of pathetic delusional thinking.  Yours is often just plain truth and very hard to see or swallow for some.   I adore your tude....glad you're sticking around..!!!

Wait....what?!......hey wait a second....was this just a ploy to see how much we all love you?!   Hahahahahaha....just kidding......i know you'd never play those games.

I still have dental issues and a lot of pain from fibromyalgia but my addiction scares me the most.

It's good to see you're going to stick with it! No one ever promised us it would all be smooth sailing. Sometimes, we have to take a step back from this place.You're an important voice here. You're needed! I think that it's the combination of different approaches & voices -- and the actual time & thought that we take in supporting others that makes this place powerful. It's a group effort. Strength from a group of people all trying to do the same thing, with different personalities, experiences, etc. sharing with each other..

I was thinking and hoped you could something up for me Kyle. I think I may have over-estimated you. I had this vision of a dude who would call any obsticle a mere excuse, addiction talking. MHD wouldn't take it personal, he was trying to help. He recognizes he makes excuses to not do things, but he adapts and makes it work. I don't know maybe erased posts and suspension is a legit reason to give up, but I can't imagine the Kyke505 I know saying that.

i don't know if you are already gone or not, but sure hope you change your mind.  i am pretty new here and have had a few hand slaps for posting against rules that i didn't know existed, but oh well.  
your posts have helped me a lot and not talking about any question i may have posted, but reading way back on old posts.

Kyle, it makes me extremely sad to read this. I also hope you reconsider. Your such an asset on this forum and we need more honest people who are not afraid to tell it like it is.
Please consider just a break, dont leave!!!
I dont know all the details or even what happened, but if you feel you cant stay, all the best. Your a wonderful person Kyle, always remember that.
I tried to send you a note and noticed your not receiving them, so i gather you've already closed your profile.

Kyle, i am saddened to see this but at the same time i understand.  Your recovery is the most important thing and if this place is causing you uneasiness in your life then you have to do what is best for you.  This is hard for me as you know how i feel about you.  I have respected you from the 1st day your feet got planted here.  I knew you wanted to get clean and you walked thru hell to get there.  We supported you and called you out when needed and you took it in stride, not always happy about it but you listened.  You started with recovery care and i saw a humble man appear before my eyes.  It has been an awesome transformation.  I have also appreciated your no bs.  As tooter said, this isnt a fairy tale, this is about life and death.  I dont ever want you to change or compromise what you believe in Kyle.  That would be going against everything you believe in.   You keep on saying what needs to be said and dont hold back.  Sugar coating does nothing for us.  We danced with the devil who told us lies so you keep telling the truth.  I hope you will check in from time to time as i have alot to learn also and i value what you have to say.  I like what ng said about taking a break so i am voting for that too.  Take care my friend, until we talk again~sara

I wish you'd reconsider.  You're a true asset to the forum.   Maybe just take a break for a while?

I'll tell you Kyle, I learned the hard way through the years how to address certain posts, get my point across, and have it still be within the TOS.  I've had MANY many many posts pulled (many is an understatement of the century).  It truly ends up being about a slightly differently approach.  You've got an awesome message and so much to share....I know it feels wrong to have to change HOW you may word things, but you'd still be helping people, and you wouldn't have this constant back and forth with the mods.

I really hope you give that some thought.  We've all pretty much been on the receiving end of a mod slap letter and had posts removed.  It took me a while to figure out how to present my opinion and advice in a way that wouldn't be considered either argumentative, or harsh.  The underlying issue is that MH wants the atmosphere to be non-threatening in any way.  I'm sure they understand that you've helped countless people with your no nonsense approach.  I think there ARE ways you could still accomplish that without getting yourself in that same pickle.

Either way, I respect you and respect your decision.  I just REALLY would hate to see you go.  :0(  I've learned a lot from you, and I've seen people turn their attitudes around after you've joined a thread.  Please please just give it some thought.  Be well my friend.

Kyle I too shall miss you. I appreciate your straight forward and to the point advice. Most of us can see through the BS and know it's not sincere. I don't come here for that. (Not to say that the kind encouragement I get goes a long way) but most of the time I need some one to set me straight, and tell me that my BS isn't working never has never will. This is not a fairy tale we're living. Some times people don't make it. Thank you for being there for me!!! God Bless you

From reading these posts....I am going to assume you wrote a post that the MH moderators maybe thought was "too much" so they removed it?  I believe I've had this happen as well.  My thoughts (as if you give a ****) ..... I wouldn't let that make me leave AT ALL!  We're fighting for our lives here, and sometimes, the truth *****...but it has to be said!  I would consider you a brave, fighter that obviously had some insight that someone didn't like!  Don't allow something like this to stop you from helping others!

I posted on your first thread but alas it disappeared. I personally needed to hear my head was full of bs!  Like I told you my head and the worlds bs got me into this mess and a straight shooter was exactly what I needed to hear. I will be grateful for this forever! I really dont understand all of this but wish you the best. You will be sorely missed by a lot of folk.
