I was horrified at the idea of NA too. But as time goes on your get more comfortable with it. Plus you meat such nice people and all of them want to help. They will really make you feel comfortable since at the meetings the most important people are the newcomers. much love

I did end up staying home from work and lowered my taper to the next step.. only 3 pills a day!!! Its been so long since its been that few!! I'm feeling more and more in control everyday. I know I can do this, I have not been this sure about anything in a long time. I do want to go to NA meetings. I'm terrified of the idea but I know it would be good for me.
Hey welcome to the forum...
I went from an 8-10 hydro/Norco habit (x's 3 years for 2 back surgeries, spinal stenosis, DDD and Fibro) to nothing on July 31st, 2009 and I also work in a high stress job...8-10 hours on your feet...plus the aspect of dealing with patients lives...so I feel your pain... What worked for me... was to have the Thomas Receipe handy and alot of support...I'm happy to say that I am still clean.. Trust me.. it hasn't been easy.. but I know that EVERYDAY THAT I DON'T USE IS A BETTER DAY THEN WHEN I DID~
So, with that said.. please keep us posted and Let Go, and Let God!
You are in my thoughts and Prayers!

**** if you have to take it one minute at a time. Good job and keep on pushing and fighting the craves and urges. Did you already look at the thomas recepit and the amino acids protocol if you havent take a look that has helped soooooo many with the w/d's. What about aftercare such as NA or counseling?? I know for me NA helps with the mental parts so much. Well take care and keep on pushing and never lose hope. Much love
