Pretty excited!!!! 1 week has passed!!!

I would just like to say that while I'm no longer getting high off of suboxone nemore, I'm finding that being sober is a high itself. It's been 1 week now and I feel great!!! The only wds I have had r  a lil tired, and a lil weak!!! But even the weakness is going away!!!! It was a struggle to do this but I wanted this for so long.. I was just scared of the wds.. But I had faith and I woke up one day and decided no more suboxone for me.. I took it day by day.. That really helped.. I'm sorry if neone thinks I'm bragging but I'm just really happy Im able to post this.. I was hooked on pills b4 I went for the maintenance program.. I used to do ne pill that was availible.. Towards the end I would do oc 80 and still would be feeling the wds..I'm so happy I'm finally free of this...no longe will I wake up and the first thing I do is get my suboxone... I got my after care set up this Thursday with an addiction counselor... I can finally start planning my life the way I want it.  Not letting the drugs come first nemore!!!! I really feel like I can do this. I feel different about quiting this time then I did when I would try and stop the pills b4. I know this time is different. U just have to wake up one day and say enough is enough!!! Take it 1 hou at a time if u have to!!

You are so welcome - been in your shoes and I know how challenging it can be.  Sub is a good medication and helps many, but I am always thrilled when I see people break free from that successfully.

I doubt anyone will think you're bragging...congratulations! You have a really positive attitude and that's important. Good luck and stick with the aftercare. I found out the hard way that most addicts need help to stay clean. cat   =)
