I've soaked, taken Tylenol (the only thing I can take). I rest and it's not better. I get busy and it's not better. I'm REALLY struggling. :(

Great job !!!   You will feel better the longer you stay clean  ;

Here is just an outside observation and You can take it or leave it but I have noticed a pattern with you. You know that around 15-18 days is usually when You used to start getting close and anticipating your next script.  So even though You can't get another script now because You told the doctor, your mind begins to wander and work on you at this 15-20 day period.   I have noticed this from your last several attempts. You say everything is horrible at day 1-4 (which,it is)and then You say how wonderful you feel and things are going great from day 6-12ish  . Then as it would get closer to your script being ready your mood would plummet and You would start speaking of vague pains and other bad feelings,then you would go to the doctor and disappear from here for a week plus a few days and return and repeat.  It could just be that after doing this so long your brain is tuned to start the bad feelings at around this time in your recovery. If You do not listen to it then it will quiet down .    Keep up the great job You are doing friend  ;)

See? It does get better. Hang in there hun and take it one day at time. I am glad to see that you are posting and being honest about how you feel. That is important for you to get it out and not hold in your feeling. Great job!

When the cravings come I take it one minute at a time if need be. Sharing my personal experience, I believe in a higher power and I ask my HP that the craves be taken away. Believe it or not it has worked for me. But that's me, over a year clean now, and I never thought it was ever going to happen. It seems that my HP takes my mind off of that thought that was planted by my addiction, and I don't even realize it as it happens. My addiction will always be with me and I must expect the craves every now and then. Sometimes I get a trigger in my brain to just not crave, but to actually go out and score some pills. I had a doctors appointment last week and he was always my main man for pills. I was tempted to test him out (I had told him when I was quitting to cut me off). But I didn't do any testing. In fact I asked for a referral to a chiropractor for a new back problem that's cropped up, which he gladly agreed to. So, I think that was my HP working in my life on that one also. Something is working, might as well be my HP? I truly believe that when any of us addicts get to bed at night without using that day, it's a miracle. I hope as I write this, that this is how your day has ended, clean and serene. :-)

Do I have to light those candles again young lady! You are good and you are strong! Not only can you do this, you ARE doing it! This is the point in time when you have given up in the past. If you get through the next week or so you will be okay. You will be happy. Push past this. Be brave! You don't need these pills to be happy. You just need YOU to believe in yourself!

You can do this.  This is such a roller coaster ride and it seems scary at times but it can be done.  You have come so far already!!!!  Cravings come and go, some days are better than others, that's just how it is.  As time goes on you will feel better, I promise!!!

Breathe my friend, take it easy and ride it out, as long as you stay clean your always getting better, I know it doesn't feel like it right now but it is, try breaking it up into 5 day blocks and think how bad you were in each block. I tried thinking in weeks rather than days, before you know it you've climbed another block, then you start to realise each one is a little better than the last. Onwards and upwards, better and better. Your doing amazing so don't give in to your own head, keep pushing and striving forwards, you will be so thankful in the end, it gets so much easier I promise! Best of everything to you, ;)

You are on the roller coaster! You just have to buckle up and ride it out. The good news is that with time (I know we hate and are sick of hearing that) the roller coaster will start to level out. Less severe highs and lows, and rises and drops.

Dig deep and fight hard!

Hey Sister, Cravings are normal you just need to distract yourself and choose not to use. Our minds are tricky and will do anything to get you to use again. You are doing really Awesome and as time goes on your cravings will become less. What do you think is triggering these cravings? Just get through today and tomorrow will be better , it seems like in early withdrawal we have a few bad days followed by some good and then bad but as time goes on the bad days are less and less. There are people on here with much more time than me and they can tell you how these pass or how they deal with them. Im so glad that you reached out for help instead of a pill!!!! You should be really proud of yourself!!!!
