Thanks so much for the response from the post last night. For the past 10 yr. I have taken vicodin 10's 10 times daily I am 3 days away from that now.  First day 1 - 10 early A.M. and 1- 7.5 at 2:00P.M. 2 days none at all!! cold turkey aint that bad!! LOL...HA!!

Shakey, chills, cold sweats, numb tounge and lips, (quivering), sneezing like crazy and best of all ... RRUUNNSS! How much longer should I expect this to begin to taper off, or am I just getting started? I have taken valium ,,,1 10 and 2 halves today and that seem to help a lot. No food for 2 days.

What is the L-Tyrosine for? someone please respond.

Great job on going c/t. I tried it this week and wimped out, just wasn't strong enough.
I have a damaged spine, my lumbars were fractured in an accident, healed up but 20 yrs later the discs just disintegrated.
I was prepared for all of the w/d symptoms and was motivated but the pain in my spine became unbearable so took a pill again. I take my meds as prescribed for pain.
Will now ask my doc to reduce dosage and go back to a slow taper.
More power to you for having the strength.  God bless and good luck

Short term use...you should be ok with the valium...just use it cautiously...valium is one of the safer benzos but it is still habit forming

I started this c/t because I did not want to continue to go to doc every time I needed meds. The pain is real, my lege are wrapped with ace bandages and that helps but I also have it in chest and arms ( had heart cath & ticker is O.K.).
I really do not have a plan for after care , I just want off of these narcs now.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

The help from this site has been great reading my ?'s and others.

I feel pretty good now But, we will see what tomorrow brings. Just got out of extremly HOT Bath soak With epsom salt and took another half valium 10. Please dont tell me I will withdrawal from valium.

Great , encouraging ct post. It takes 72 hrs for the pills to clear your system so your almost there and it all gets easier then.I hope you have a plan for aftercare but again thnx for posting how its done

L-tyrosine can help with energy...if u r feeling overly anxious, i would not take it...theanine would be a better amino to take for anxiety...get out for a walk if u can...it helps
