You can make it. You just can't think of it in terms in two months. Just one day at a time. Don't think beyond today.
2months eh. jeeze i dont think i'll be able to make it that long like this.
Congrats on staying clean from oxy's for 2 weeks, that is a remarkable feat. Oxy's were my drug of choice as well and I know from withdrawing from it in the past, since April was that the psychological withdraws subsided in a month. The worst part is gone, but you still have some recidual depression that lasts for 2 months. I have been clean from benzo's and opiates for 38 days. Stupid me I stopped the oxy's in April and switched to vicodin and xanax until December 1st. The bottom fell out from underneath me, it all basically caught up with me and I decided for the best to go to an inpatient detox-rehab center for 35 days. Never went for that long of a period, just for 3 days of detox and I relapsed shortly after every 3 day detox. So, now I attend a IOP for 3 days a week, 3 hours a day. Also I see a councelor 2 days a week and an hour each time. I surrendered completely and I chose to be clean today, before the drugs take my life. Sorry to ramble on, but the answer for your question is to give yourself a couple more weeks, and the depression will go away. Also take some vitamins and B complex vitamins and walk a little bit each day if you can. You take care and keep us all posted. Mike in NC
Hey furei608, Since I don't know what Lyrica is I can't say much about it except that I would be very cautious before taking other medications since many times you are just substituting one addictive substance for another. Why you would need to take Lyrica(a pain medication) if you are looking for help with depression is beyond me.
The thoughts of doom and anxiety gradually go away. I guess the length of time varies from person to person but you should notice things getting better steadily. If not I guess the obvious suggestion would be talking to a counselor or something similar.
Keep posting on here and reading the other posts. It's been very helpful to me. This is a good place.
Maybe Lyrica can help. I hate sounding like a commercial but it has worked for me. I had C5-7 fusion and left the hospital with 90 OxyIR and Lyrica. After the oxy was gone the Lyrica was a god send. All the best for you.
