Percocet addiction?

Hi there, I'm a 40 year old male from Canada who had previous addictions to opiates & alcohol.  In December 2009 I quit everything.
2 weeks ago I had dental surgery and was prescribed percocet for pain.  So for the past 2 weeks I've been taking 4-7 percs a day.  I'm wanting to stop now as I'm not feeling as much in pain and don't want this in my system.  These are I guess 5mgs each? plus tylenol.  So the max was 7 per day.

My question is since I've not had any type of narcotic or alcohol since december will I have a prob stopping this amount and suffer wd's?

thanks for you help!!

I believe you will .  Mentally .  I dont think your pain required you to take the perc every time you did in the past 2 weeks. Only you can answer that question to yourself honestly. If you have, your addiction is already saying YES your back !!  Welcome!!!  The withdrawal will be more mild I would think but mentally......  can you go throw the leftover pills in the toilet and FLUSH.

hi....i don t thinks wds will be too awful....maybe a few sleepless nights and some anxiety but you should be just fine....my only suggestion would be if you have to have any more surgeries ask for something non-narcotic.....motrin 800 works great for me when i have true pain....hang in there and please post if you have any more questions....maria
