Thanks everyone, this site is truly a great thing, along with the people who offer time and help on it. I am sure it has helped hundreds or thousands of people with their addictions or problems.
I hope for those who have problems with benzo addiction can take something from my story, for those who are thinking of taking benzos for fun to re-think what they are contemplating because it quickly turns from something that seems fun into something quite evil.
I did laugh a little when gnarly stated I had the worse benzo habit he has known, but that laughter soon vanished. It is a very serious thing and I am amazed at how out of control it got so quickly, how I was almost clueless to what I was doing. The problem with where I live and my addictive/extreme personality, I could buy valium all day long.
But to conclude, if you are reading this and are taking benzos or thinking of taking them, be careful if they are being prescribed and re-think things if you are doing it for 'fun'. They are killers, on the 20 most deadly drugs list, they rank higher than ecstasy, weed, ketamine, lsd and cocaine. Peace all :)

Tom not all people are addicts, some people have the ability without Rehab,A.A. etc. the stop.Just one point you said you used for 8yrs.Remember addiction is a jouney,as is staying clean and sober. We cant live on yesterdays sobriety,so focus on liveing-clean just for today. All the best john
It's about time! Just funning with you Tom. You were on on heck of a rollercoaster trying to get started over the past 6 months. 50 days is fantastic..:)
Way to GO Tom! I knew that you could do it!!! 50 days!!!! That is brilliant. You are Brilliant! Enjoy life and stay straight.
Thanks people :) Tough love is needed sometimes, and it is gratified in this I can safely say. The most remarkable thing for me is that the voice or need if you will to get high has gone. After all of those years of mainly thinking how to get money to get drugs has flipped upside down, that is one of the best things for me. Brain plasticity.
That's a wonderful mark in clean time ! Congratulations and I am very happy you are getting your life back ! I do remember how that felt ,Well done ! Jimmy
