6 Months for Gizzy!! Congrats

I just want to give a great big congrats to Gizzy who is 6 months clean today!!!  It’s a milestone for him and I am sure it hasn’t been easy, but he is a true fighter.  Keep it up Gizzy!!!  Your strength is an inspiration to many.  Thank you for being such a good friend to me and so many of us on here..

Well Gizzy I am so happy for you and your family today is a big day! 6 whole months wow.I know just how difficult it is to surrender to our disease and I also know the freedom we start to feel .How you reach out to others and get out of self is very inspirational sending you my heartfelft congrats!

I have seen your name around alot, and despite the fact that i don't 'know' you, I think you deserve some applause for making it so far. congratulaions. best of luck to the next 6 months.
just out of interest, does it get easier after a certain amount of time? (anyone?)
i'm guessing it's almost like hurdles, you beat the initial w/d's, then the weird mental cravings, then what? is there a period of time where it gets routine?
I know many people say it takes forever and i'm sure in a way that's true. but is there a point at which you KNOW that you've kicked it?
congrats gizzy, and to everyone else who is doing well with their recovery.
to those who are still struggling - keep going, keep trying, at least you have lots of people here to back you up.

Awwwww who knew drug addicts could be so sweet, lol. Ty everyone, I would not have made it this far without all the great support here. I only worked half a day and heading out to the golf course in a bit. I beat the pro last weekend by 12 so I have been pumped up since, lol. It is where I am the happiest and since I am clean I know longer flip golf carts on top of myself:)

Getting clean was quite the battle, i kept failing for the longest time and truly believed I could not be happy without drugs, but let me tell you I was wrong. It took some time to heal and feel better but time heals all and if you stick to your plan you will see. It's almost like a rebirth, a new way of looking at life.  Today I can look at myself in the mirror and be comfortable in my shoes and proud of what I accomplished. Almost losing my life changed me and helped me. I feel like a lucky man today.
