A General Question About Tapering

Hey all...I know the forum rules do not allow discussion about taper scheldules so if this question is out of line then just let me know.....

in general, do ya'll think it is better to lengthen the time between doses then reduce the dose or keep the dosage times the same and reduce the amount??? Again, if this is in violation of forum rules then I apologize and withdraw my question.....thoughts?????

I have come far already IMHO.... I was on kadian 20 mg 2 X day and 2-3 norco 10/325 every 4 hrs and Soma 350 X 4 day....I now have completely stopped the Kadian and the Soma and am taking 1.5 (sometimes 2 if I really hurt bad) Norco every 6 hours....when I get comfortable at 1 norco every 6 hours I plan to jump and hopefully the symptoms won't be too horrific.....thanks for the support and I will talk to you guys more as I continue......thank all of you so much......peace....

Good!  The whole secret to tapering is to go very slowly, decreasing by small amounts.  I tapered, as well, and it worked fine for me.

I think I can answer this:   Decrease in small amounts over a long period of time and stick to a regular dosing schedule.IE: Don't take 3 at one time and 3 more when you feel like it if you're taking 6 a day. Spread it out throughout the day.

Does this help?  I can't say any more.
