watch for it

my aunt went to school to be a drug counceler and she told me something the other day and i thought i would share it with all of u. she told me that even though i am changing and getting better doesnt mean that other people are going to treat me like i am better. they still may treat u like they did when u were using and they wont treat u like u ARE different. u have to watch for these people because they will disapoint u and that disapointment can lead to relapse. this we do not want. i am very lucky that most people in my life are treating me like i am changing but there are one or two that are not. i am watching out for them because i do not want to relapse and i think because i am so early in this that it would be easy for me to relapse. hope that helped someone!!

Not may people knew I used....my best friend who is a heavy smoker...and i hate to say it but she does drink too much..she is very high and mighty about drug abuse tho...i told her about what i did...quitting...been almost 6 weeks   she was over yesterday and said...How r u doing with it?  I am like good days and bad days...she is like" you still think about it"?  I am like...yey...if  you put down the cigs today would you just quit thinking about them tomorrow?  I did not bring up the drinking thing as she is a very controlled drinker/no scenes but she can drink like a fish....and may need to address it but that is up to her...

Yeah , to us we are addict... to the rest of the world we are cokeheads, junkies, poppers, fiens, etc... its a fact of life that the rest of the world doesnt see us as addicts! but ya gotta do like gtmi says and rise above it... but when ya do,  and ya are clean for a few years, just remember that others that are using are no different than you....

Rise above it and prove them wrong. It is the best payback you can do.
