What to ask dr?

I am sorry I haven't written in a couple of days~to my new friends whom I am starting to cherish more & more..
My dr's office called me Thursday to cancel my appt. Friday because of the snowstorm. I asked them if they could change my pain medicine & they couldn't over the phone & my next appt. is Feb. 17th. now. So it was get my usual refills or nothing which they did not advise. Unless there is an emergency they cannot change my appt. so my hubby will not have to do this alone again anyway since his last pills come in the mail & cannot be stopped. I felt so terrible about having to go through all this again but at least I am on 7 instead of 10's. I actually felt guilty because of all the sweet & wonderful people who gave me so much help. We don't have a lot of money. In fact our income is just below poverty level. That's why we live in KY.
I also have been on clonazepam 1mg 2x a day for my hot flashes etc for about a year & they really help.
I just wanted to let you know that we are still stopping the tabs just 1 month later. What can I ask my dr. if anything to make the wd's go a little easier this time. MY hubby's  appt. with VA dr.is Feb. 15th.
Once again I thank you all for being here for one of the most painful times in our lives & I am sorry about waiting 2 days to tell you.

Hi Sweet Sara~
I am doing fine on the lower dose thankfully~just a wee bit scared of what's to come.
I told Allan~hubby~that we should make the most of what we have this month so I we are cleaning today & finally, taking our tree down. Allan's birthday just passed as well & loves having our Christmas tree up as long as possible. But it comes down today. ;)
The pain is not that bad as long as I don't do too much. I did some cleaning & cooking yesterday & it's 35 degrees at 6 am.  I am originally from nyc so snow is not a big deal to me. I have been down here & married to Allan 10 yrs in July & this place closes down after 2 inches lol. How much snow do you have there now?

Good Morning~~

When you go to the doctor on the 17th i would tell him everything you have told us.  Ask him about taking something non narcotic.  Just remember your pain will increase for a bit as we do experience rebound pain but it does subside.  Many of us found our pain actually got better after we had been off the pills for awhile.  Tapering would help ease the wd's but that can be hard to do on our own.  How are you feeling now?  It's only -11 below here today so experiencing a heat wave!!!         sara
