percocet and periodss

Okay so my friend has been giving me percocet this past month maybe 2 months, and I had my period at the end of may but it only lasted 2-3 days. And ever since then I haven't had my period. I'm really worried. I know for a fact I am not pregnant. Its been maybe a week or two since I've had a perc. What do I do? I've stopped taking percocet, should my period come back? Or no? Is this something serious? What should I do?

Okay...a couple of things:  I want to mention that what your girlfriend did was illegal and if you had been caught with those pills it would have broken another law. I'm glad you stopped. There's a rough future ahead if you had continued!

There are a few other reasons why your period may be irregular. Debbie touched on one. Extreme exercise could cause periods to stop. Also, recent weight loss, dieting, emotional upset, endocrine disorder...Tell your Mom about this and if you miss it again, get an appt. with your doctor to investigate.     Good luck to you!

Most of the time I get it regularly. and I know I was just experimenting but I've stopped and know for a fact I wont be taking any more ever.
and she got them from her grandpa he recently had surgery but doesn't really like percs and so she took them from his med cabinet.

Oh honey only 15 you are so young. Don't mess around with the pills anymore ok? I have seen too many young people start out occasionally and then get addicted. Many have died in car accidents and overdosed. Very sad.

I thought maybe that was why you knew you weren't pregnant. Good for you. Keep it that way for a long time.
Do you get it  usually get it regularly?
I was very active when I was younger, I was always a dancer  and it caused my period to be very irregular. Yes stress can also cause it to be messed up.
Why does your friend have. Perc script?

Nah it wasn't a big deal for me to stop, I felt the same way I did before I started taking them.
I'm 15, and my friends prescription.

I would go see your doctor. Opiates can cause problems with a lot of stuff. I have never personally had an issue with missed periods due to them. Better safe than sorry. There are a TON of things that can affect your cycle.

you said you haven't used in a week or two did you feel ok when you stopped using them? or did you have any withdrawal symptoms?
I hope that you don't use anymore if you read around on this board you will see that it doesn't end well.
does you friend have a script for them or does she buy them from the street?
can I ask how old you are?

Your period will come back.  When I was in active addiction, I would go months without a period, which I really didn't mind, but it can make a girl worry.  In due time, all your natural bodily functions will return to normal.  Just give it time and don't worry too much, stress can keep it away as well.
