So far, so good!

I just wanna say how helpful this site has been!! Reading everyone elses stories have helped me greatly!
I'm in the middle of quitting norcs. It's a familiar story, so I won't waste your time! Haha! It's been almost 4 days without anything!!! I almost broke down and got some from a friend, but by coming to this site I overcame the urge!!! I also deleted my numbers of people I got them from today!!! That's a big step for me!!
The dts haven't been too bad, the usual stomach and sleep problems. I actually had the energy to take my 40 minute bike ride to work today!! I'm hoping I can stay strong and make it through this!!!
Thank you all for everything! God bless!!!!

Almost at 6 days! I was finally able to get about 6 hours of broken sleep last night! Took some melatonin and that seemed to help!
Thankfully that just 1 pill feeling passed on day 4, and I haven't had that feeling again! The nagging is there, but not the 1 would be okay.
Each day is better and with the help of this site, the wonderful posts, and close supportive friends I know I can do this!!!

Thank you all so much!!!

Great job!!!

The sleep thing $ucks!!!  It DOES get better though.  It is always the last remaining symptom.  I suppose it could be worse.....at least it's not the runs that last the longest :)

Just keep pushing through it and believing it's going to come.  When the sleep returns you'll know you are on the mend.

Don't let yourself "slip" and take that 1.  1 always leads to more......understand that if you are an addict, you will be unable to take opiates responsibly on your own.  That is a guarantee....please heed those words from a chronic relapser!!!!!

Wishing you the best and a few more hours of sleep!!!!
Hang in there, you are doing an amazing job,

bob

Yeah, wish I could have read that in the morning! Hehe! I miss sleeping like a normal person, but I understand I can't sleep because my body is trying to get back to normal. Honestly, this is the worst part for me right now. Not bad enough to turn back tho!!! :)

Oh, I was curious as to how long the runs last for? I've read the insomnia usually lasts the longest. Just wanted to know what I have to look forward to in days 5-6
Also, if for some reason I do slip and have 1, does thar mean the dts will start all over?

Congrats on 4 days clean I am on 5 and feeling pretty good. You did a good thing deleting those numbers were kind of in the same boat I gave up my refill at the doctor yesterday and having those made it impossible for us to win at this battle.

Just stay busy sounds like your on your way and were all here for you. This forum was a God send to me.

Thank you all for the support! I have a few close friends that hang out with me to keep me busy and show support. It's funny, cause one of the people I used to get em from texted me right after I deleted his #! haha! I just deleted the text right away and didn't answer back!

Congrats on the four days and for making some good decisons.  Glad you are doing well.  I agree with gnarly---look into some kind of aftercare.  AA, NA, counseling whatever.  Anything you do to make some postive strides in your recovery is a blessing. Glad you're here. Please let us know how you are doing.
