That temptation being put in front of you and being able to stand it down is such a powerful feeling.   So many times I detoxed (only because I had no other choice) and thought "well, I made it this far, but deep in my mind I was't done, so as soon as that devil was put in front of me, I bowed down without hesitation.'    When you know you are done it is easier to say no.  Great job!

congrats and I agree after day four you are almost through the worst part of it all and should be feeling better lil by lil, subs work great for some but after you have that much time in I'm like some of the others I think it would set you back. I did subs for three days during my detox just enough to curb the horrible stuff but even after I stopt taking them I was still detoxing so its a choice I just think you are doing great, I have 116 days clean and I just wanted to let you know that it gets so much better I promise the fog lifts and the withdrawals do go away sleep comes back and life becomes wonderful even with all the problems life can throw your way as a dear friend on here says your worst day is better than your best day using. plus my saying is to unchanined from the bottle of pills is priceless and there is a prize at the end of all this you will find the most amazing person and that person is you. love and light keep fighting you are so worth it and congratulations once again. love and light

Hey silkie55, I was just reading a book and one of the quotes made me think of you. It said "the moment one commits oneself, then providence moves too. All sorts of things occur to help one that would never have otherwise occurred. A whole stream of events; all manner of unforeseen incidents and chance meetings and material assistance come forth which no one could have dreamt would appear. Whatever you can do, or dream you can, begin it. Boldness has genius and power and magic in it".

So glad your doing better and are able to get out some. I know everyone says it will get better and it will. It gave me so much comfort to know that if I stuck to it and took it one day at a time it really would improve! Your doing great! Keep posting, it has really helped me.

Thanks you all! I feel like I'm human again! I've been gone about 3 hours, ran errands, didn't have enough energy for the grocery store but that can wait! And ate my first real sandwich all week! Now I have to put on a few pounds, have never had that problem in my life before! Lol

well as you know Subs, tapering, quiting c/t is all a personal choice so we always have to decide whats going to not only be best for us, but also WORK for us. You being 4 days clean of opiates, I think the Subs may have only set you back! Your a fighter and I know you can do this :) Your almost through the thick of it

Thank you, I was on subs before but without insurance I couldn't afford more than one month then I went right away and relasped. I just want all of this chemical s--- out of my body! I know they help many people and I did think about it but decided ct was my best way out.
