Clonodine?

I have recenltly researched this quite well, after after attempts with Methadone and Suboxone going horribly, I am glad to see a new drug. I had allergic reactions with Meth and Sub, due to my Ativan dosage, but am on a maintance dose of Suboxone just to keep me functioning.
What type of doctor prescribes Clonodine? I have no regular MD right now, but have insurance and can go anywhere.

BTW My detox is from 12 yr of RX pain meds, and 7 yr of my abusing them to 180mg day

Hi Llardro, I wish you much success with your daughter's addiction! I know it much be so difficult as a parent. My mom was super supportive (I think she feels bad about her ddiction too) and got me financiailly on to road to Suboxone...very expensive but great drug for a lot of of people. I hope the Clonodine and 2 other meds help her to recover, along with therapy and all. GOOD LUCK :-)

I am trying to get my daughter (age 21) thru the oxy  withdrawal process.  The coucelor she has been seeing recommended a psychiatritst that we had an appt with two weeks ago Monday to discuss withdrawal treatment.  The psychiastrist precribed 3 meds,   one those being Clonodine.  I am really new to all this sunset,  so I will defer to the more long term members.   Good luck!

I receive Clonodine from my general practitioner for my blood pressure so I would think any Dr. could prescribe it. It is an old medication widely used for wd Hope this helps and good luck on your journey..
