Cocaine and droopy eye

Has anyone had droopy eyes after using cocaine?

I wonder if this is from not sleeping enough, which I haven't been. Or a possible sign of anerysm or stroke? I read that cocaine use can put you at higher risk for these things. But today my left eye was very droopy. I had done a line half hour earlier and could barely keep that one open. I one time went a day or so with little to no sleep (cocaine binges to blame) and both my eys were pretty droopy. I was exhausted. Trying to determine if sleep is what I need or if I need to see a doctor. Read that sign of unruptured an aneurysm is a droopy eyelid. It lasted for hour or so. Or is this something that happens when the coke gets into your sinuses and eyes tear?

Thanks so much to everyone for the truth and support. I know you are all dead on. As I wrote the post to the college kid thinking of trying it a lot of things became clear to me. I have had a great therapist this year who helped me through the toughest part of my heartbreak as well as other issues and pain with regards to sexual abuse I had earlier in life. Several monthsof marriage counseling went nowhere as my ex continued to have his affair. I was feeling strong about so many things. Think I got to a point where I was like "**** it!" Hes out screwing a stripper, gambling (and keeping the winnings), living life of a 20 year old bachelor. I need some fun. I was stupid to think I wouldn';t get sucked in in this way. I know I have lost control over. Liked it at first, then way too quickly felt as if it was controlling me. Scary. Ive always been an awesome mom and I am beginning to see how this is changing that.

Your words advice and support are taken very seriously by me. I think the droopy eyes are sheer exhaustion, along with sinus issues. Notice my posts were 5 or so this morning. After binging and staying up so late, I was afraid I wouldn't wake up.So I kept it going and haven't slept yet. Part is fear of my husbands actions if I mess up, part my own fear. I look and feel like hell today. Have done several lines today just to stay awake. Really dumb right? I know. Posting and being honest with myself are a sign to me that I realize the state I am in. First step right? I have had so many angels in my life this past year and I think I found a few more.

I am not sure what you mean by droopy eye? I read a couple comments on your other posts and it sounds like you are on a path to complete destruction if  this continues. I could not stop using blow either, i was on a 5 year relapse over and over. I am sorry for what your going through right now, but coke adds to depression and coming down is an absolute nightmare. I hope you put an end to this, your kids need you too.

I experienced a lot of bad health things during my use, but never anything that bad with the eyes. They would water cause my nose was so full of coke sometimes, but not sure what you mean by droopy. If you are really worried about this, see a dr. Your right though, coke can cause stroke, heart attacks and destroy the nervous system. Please put an end to this, it's not numbing you, it's making things worse. Good luck and keep posting, we are here to give support. Hugs:)

Hi and welcome to the forum!
I completely agree with Brian, you really need to stop taking coke, it's gonna drag you down in a way you have no idea of.
This is a great place for support advice and education.
I never did coke either but many members have a lot of experience and really can help you to go thru this.
Keep on posting!

I'm so sorry for what you are going though! My name refers to the initials of me, my wife, my 2 kiddos and my dog. So I guess it does kinda refer to me being a dad. I can't really help much with the coke as I have no experience with it. I can relate with addiction though. I started on pain meds due to a back injury while serving in Iraq. Have you been to a counselor to talk things through? It sounds like you really need to get to the root issues of why you use in order to take the steps to sobriety. All it is doing is masking and numbing the feelings you need to feel right now even if they are difficult to handle or think about. One member that can be of great help to you since his doc (drug of choice) was coke is Gizzy. He is usually on in the early evening. There are so many wonderful and caring people on here that will not judge and help you as much as they can. Make sure you stick around. You should post your story in your own post so you have one dedicated just to you. At the top of the page click on "post a question". You can then let everyone know what is going on and ask any questions you need some answers to. It is usually kinda slow at night but you will get many responses during the day. If you need anything, please let me know!

Is your nickname refer to being a dad? I'm a mom to three kids. My husband began an affair with an very very young stripper last year. Then said he wanted out of the marriage. It has been a devastating year for me. His business failed so we are divorcing under the worst of circumstances. Stress galore! Not an excuse, just background. I started doing it with some friends in past few months when we  would go out. Then I bought my own stach and use it at night after kids go to bed (never in front of them or around them jacked up). Problem is I keep doing it becomes 3 -4 am and only way I can get to sleep is with ambien. Several days I have completlly slept thru alarms, kids monitors etc. Or get up, give them breakfast, lay back down (not even thinking!) and this scares me. We have safety locks on doors but they do make a big mess while I am asleep. Not sure which is worse, coke or ambien! That has to stop for sure. See 2:55 here and Im still online. Yes, this makes me concerned and know I can't continue. Also scared my husband will find out and order follicle test. His will show drus as well but maybe pot, mushrooms. Probably not as bad by a judge. Don't want my kids taken away. Honestly I am a great mom who is surviving worst heartbreak of my life. In spring I was in dep depression and anxiety and started antidepressant, first itme in my life. This helped but think it also contributes to my insomnia. Need to sleep better and coke is not helping!

Thanks for your thoughts and support
