I have been almost in awe by some of the messages I have been receiving from some of you. A few days ago I made a comment about the people who just read and for their own reasons have never posted. I am still trying to encourage you to come on out and talk to us. I, for one, would would love to talk to you. And for those of you that did contact me or that did post for the first time....that is a huge step in getting involved with your own addiction issues. It really needs to be done.

And to those who are still undecided, uncertain embarrassed to be put in the pot with the rest of the addicts...I felt the same way. You DO NOT lose any single part of your self by coming forward here.  Quite the opposite...you gain so much!

If you are not ready to post then find someone else's posts that you connect with and contact them in a private message. we are all ready to listen, advise, support an help you!  Please take that step!

I first came to this site on my 3rd night of detoxing (I think) so i was in pretty bad shape. And from that moment I've been on everyday cuz this place really has helped me so much. Had I found it earlier...who knows,  I may not have used as long. So as the title of this post says.... Come on Out!

Great post Mike... I think most people just read like crazy until they see that one post or comment that triggers it for them.  That's at least how I was.  Hopefully people see this place for the safe haven that it is.  Post your story... We want to help you!

one of the first steps to getting well is admitting to another person that you have a problem.....posting on here is a great way to do that as you know Mike the more open and honest you are the faster you will get better our secrets keep us sick posting is a bit scary for the first time for most of us but it is very freeing at the same time ......as I went threw methadone addiction this board was priceless in helping set me free from my addiction it really can help if you let it good post if your new take a minute and post you wont regret it good luck and God bless......Gnarly
