Confession Time

I wanted to share my experience in the last 36 hours to help aid someone else in their recovery...

I am day 13 without my tyl/cod addiction and yest. my cravings got the best of me! I went to the phcy and refilled my rx. The whole time I was there- I was feeling an overwhelming sense of guilt and sorrow! That guilt and sorrow took a back seat to the nagging voice in my head telling me to take pills again.

Once I got home I took 1/2 tab and about 45 minutes later I felt like cra*!! I started feeling nauseated, dizzy and didn't want to get off the couch- I honestly felt worse than I had for at least the last 10 days!! I grabbed the month worth of pills and flushed them (with some encouragement from my wonderful friends on here)! It felt so nice to have all those pills in my hand and watch them dissappear without a thought!

My cravings have subsided- I just thank God that He aided me in feeling like shi* after taking that 1/2 tab :) I feel like a new person!

Thanks so much you guys!! I am so happy to have found this whole community of friends who are going through (or have been through) the same thoughts/feelings I am dealing with.

Way to go. What a great step in the right direction.Reaching out is an important part of healing.Throwing away something that has kept us prisioners for so long is a great achievement.Baby steps!!.

wonderful...to take on 1/2 a pill and the realization of how terrible this whole mess is is very commendable to say the least..and then to flush...whoosh..what a good sound for a clean person to hear...gives  ur power back....stay in the kingdom of cleandom...it is so much more peaceful here..the other place is such a doomer   dont go back there

Good for you , don`t feel so guilty about it this is my second go around myself . Slipups are common . I also did something like you and took just a half and I flused them and said to myself , don`t be a fool Jim or that 3   10/500 habit you had will turn into 20 .. Again good for you....Jim

JoANGRY got angry with the pills?  Whoa!  Close call.  Someone was on your side.

That happened to me once in one of my many detoxes.  I took a 1/2 pill after about 4 days thinking I would feel better and got so sick.  Apparrenly not sick enough though!

aw, it makes me soooooo happy to hear that!!!!! :) I'm going to make it thru work tomorrow and thurs too, I have to! we can do this, no turning back now :)

aw, I love ya girl :) You'll be so happy you flushed those devils, and do thank god for them making you feel that way, I KNOW if I took a pill now I'd be so overwhelmed with guilt. can't do it and won't do it!! Glad you're better today and thanks for sharing your story :)
