I posted something earlier but didn't get much feed back. I got postpartum depression with my 5 month old daughter. My doc put me on 40mg of celexa. I have been mixing crystal meth with it. It's not everyday but it's often. I know it's my seritonin going through the roof. I've never struggled with anything like this. When I come down off the meth the fatigue is to much to take.  Sometimes I can't keep my eyes open. It takes me a week to feel a little better. I just fall short and keep turning to it for energy. I want to feel normal and I haven't since my daughter was born. I don't want to be like this. Suggestions are welcome. Someone please enlighten me. Please talk to me.

Tell your husband..the secrets are keeping you sick maybe...

When I was using I thought if I OD ..my kids would have to explain that for the rest of their life......." gee sorry to hear about your dad,,,how did he die?"  ohhh the pain of living got too much for him so he took the easy way out and overdosed"..he was a great dad otherwise,,,,

that was harsh,,,,i know,,,,but it's what crossed my mind when I would take too many Vics,,,,,

You are getting so much great advice!  I hope you listen.  I know it's hard, but if you can come clean to your husband, you'll feel so  much better.  Sure, he may be angry initially but I'm sure after the initial shock wears off he will only want to help you.  Keep posting.

Ash, im on a taper program from Norcos and do agree with you that one of the most unpleasant side effects is the lose of energy. During my reduction period i litterly have to lie down or even squat at the kitchen sink due to energy lose so i do understand what you are going through. But if that is the most bother some effect you are going through then better to stay in bed and recuperate than to use cystral meth. It is a small consequence from the result of using such a devilish drug. We are not taking pill or weed here, you are the catagory of a back yard made substance, mixed with gasoline, and very toxic chemicals. These chemicals are so toxic as could cause perminant DNA damage to youself for any future children that you might want to have. So if you cannot make a decision to get help in stopping the meth use today that get help for the sake of your future children who could be born with sever birth defects and mental retardation.  please quit on your own today and if you need help make a doctor appointment and tell them what you are taking.

Have you thought about checking out your local NA meetings? You will find addicts like yourself that understand the struggle and can help support you.  It's OK to take your baby to the meeting. You should give it a try. Good luck?

Hi Ash. Congrats on your New babe !! Also you have a Great husband !! It is not unusual for new moms to go thru a lot of emotions and down time Meaning No energy.. Your hormones are all out of whack ! It does not last a long time but long enough for you to want it to go away. Using the speed it is bad. It will destroy your marriage, although we think we are getting a lot done, cooking cleaning caring for the babe In another's eyes we just look frazzled and odd as our skin looks different our manners all kinds of things.. speaking to your Dr, would be a good thing for they can treat any depression issues. For energy it takes time Being kind to yourself. eating well drinking lots of fluids and time alone for a nice walk outside.. You need to stop the speed for as I said it will destroy everything you are trying to build. speaking to your husband will allow you to not have secrets in your marriage and he can help to support you when you crave more.. You really need to get rid of any who supply you with this drug also. I was a tweeker real bad for a long time up for a week at a time slamming it all away.. they get bored and your house can be robbed along with anyone else, we usually target those we know.. Stop now ok Do yourself a favor.. I know you have seen a tweeker You do not want that for you for your family.. no wd except the fatigue anxiety. You can deal with this it is just a short time really Today you have a chance to mold your future your familys future We do not get many opportunity's to do this. It is not called on us in this life to make major decisions often but this is one you must make now. Crystal meth is one of the worst all time drugs to take no matter how often you take it. It leads to brain damage, teeth damage and social damage. You say you dont take it much so now is the time to quit this. If you need energy better to drink a energy boost from the store. Please please stop before its too late. It is better for you to have a temporary energy lose than to take meth and you all your energy. i mean dying!! If you wont do it for your self, do it for those that care about you. You take meth and are rationalizing the damage it is doing. You will not get back what this terrible drug will take you. Please tell us you have weighed the consequences and will stop taking this.

I know you are scared.  I remember feeling that before i came clean too.  It was a huge weight off my shoulders when i did.  Can you talk to your doctor about any of this?  Sometimes a change in meds is needed.  Hopefully you can talk with your husband sometime soon and i would really think about talking to a counselor about the drugs.  You dont have to be a prisoner to this anymore so dont give up hope.

Many of us started using to block out the emotional pain in our lives and before we know it we are hooked.  Does anyone else know about this?  Are you raising the baby by yourself?

No!! I mean I've done it before but nothing like this. How did this happen?

You need to talk with your doctor about this and be very honest.  There are other meds that you can try.  The meth is making everything worse.  Did you do this before the baby was born?
