Congrats on day 11. You really aren't 'late' into detox at this point; your body was functioning with opiates in it for a decade. It's going to take a while for things to go back to normal. Bowel issues into the 2nd week IS normal! Are you eating enough fiber? Fruits, vegetables, whole grains, etc. Everyone talks about protein shakes and bars, but my stomach could not handle a lot of protein in the first 4-8 weeks after getting off opiates. Proteins molecules are big and take a long time to break down which is while you feel so full and satisfied after eating them, but I had to avoid a lot of meat (beef and pork were both offenders) and take it easy on my stomach.
This is going to take a while; you cannot expect to return to your old "pre-drug" self right away. I was having a whole assortment of symptoms up to a year after getting clean. It always surprised me how people expect everything to return to status quo right away, when the truth is these substances alter all our processes, and the human body, being the amazing machine that it is, adapts to it. Then when you stop ingesting the drug, it throws everything into a tailspin.
Okay, enough preaching. Eat fiber, get some light exercise, and drink plenty of fluids to replace the ones you're losing with the diarrhea. What you're going thru is normal...it WILL resolve itself. Just time and patience.
Yes, unfortunately it’s normal. I had issues up to 2+ weeks. Have you tried Imodium?
