Withdraws

Hi I'm Lux, I am 22 and am addicted to oxycotton and methadone. I was taking 20mg of methadone or less every other day... then last week i just got really depressed and went back to oxys. It was bad, this entire week ive done over 120mg per day. So i realized i need help, but not just getting off drugs, I need a support group. So here is my next step, logging on here, having an accurate tracker set up. Hopefully make friends who will help me through this. I just need a suppost system. Noone really knows i have a problem. My parents think that i HAD a problem, and i guess i hide it very well. I go to school full time so ihave to take methadone and go down on it. So i get to 5mg a day,, then cold turkey it. If anyone out there has advice for me, let me know.

I agree with AVISG, AA/NA is the best support group; this forum is great and has helped a lot (me and others), but for some, it's not enough; I know i tried just using this forum and fell off the wagon plenty of times; now I see a psychologist (addiction specialist) and seems to be helping A LOT!!!

Good luck and know that u r not alone; we're here to help

Nick =)

Try to taper as far as you can  before you CT.It is going to being really rough more so with school full time.I would talk to the doctor about what might help get threw this .also this is a great support system but you need something local where you are check into aa/na or and addiction therapist or a church pastor really program that will give you a good support system that works.Stick around we will help all we can
