OC dtox advice

I am a over 60 man that has lost the past 5 years from legal OC use from a Pain Ctr. for leg pain. I have Diabetis and bad heart problems. Past Heart attack and by-past surgery with a Deflibulater/Pace Maker. Lots of years have been lost from my memory. The last few years I was prescribed 160mm a day. I have been clean for 60 days after I weened myself off the drugs. This has been by far the hardest thing I have done in my life by myself. When the hell dose the pain stop?

taper down the oxycodone by 10 percent every day untill u r down to nothing.

What kind of pain are you talking about ? mental/physical ?

I suffer from chronic pain and when I gave up all of
the pain meds I had ghost pain for some time.  It's when my body
made the pain seem worse than it was so I would take the meds.

I didnot believe this to be at first (i'ave never heard of such a thing)
But once I realized this was true and gave my body time to heal the pain
lessened.  I still see a Dr for pain but no narcitics.  

Mental pain lasted until I got support from a 12step program and
started working the steps.

well just because we have kicked the drugs doesn't mean our bodies are better.
60 days seems way too long to have withdrawl induced pain though. what does your doctor think?

maybe if you are healed up now from whatever the leg pain was. than maybe you have done something else and didn't notice because you were taking drugs for pain and it covered it up.

sounds like the doc needs to take a better look
