Here...u now know one person that has sucessfully jumped off suboxone and am now over 104 days clean so YES, it can be done! Here in Louisiana, the sub drs don't seem to taper either. Not as soon as they should anyway.

I understand your feeling about tapering. With sub, not a lot of people drop from 2mg. Many get down to crumbs before jumping. Read through the forum and look for members who are also taking SUBOXONE or who took it at one time and send a private message to them. Members will find you, as well.
Hang in there for now and remember to let yourself adjust to each dose change before continuing.
Yeah your doing a rapid detox at the moment. You can either keep going and jump, or jump now or like others said give it a while between each reduce.
But your already in withdrawals now, you could think of jumping now : )
I had know idea people couldn't help with tapering on this site. That's Crazy to me. imo Every person I know in my life is stuck on subs, they can't stay off. Doctors and my own dr prescribe them for maintenance. Around here in south FL they don't have a clue how to taper patients. They tell you to jump at 2mgs and if u complain they just say ok you're just not ready to quit and put u back on 24-32mg a day scripts. It's a FreaKin joke! All about $!! Couldn't make this stuff up. Very sad. The only reason I'm saying this is People need help getting off, they don't know what the hell there doing. I've yet to meet a person face to face that's successfully gotten off suboxone. I now know that if u have a fast detox using subs that it can b a miracle drug. So gotta say with my own experience that the real experts are the people that have been on the Suboxone roller coaster and have successfully gotten off. So am I aloud to leave my email here out for people to talk to off the site? Like at gmail.com I gotta go read these rules. Seriously I need guidance from people that's been through it. Biggest fair is jumping and not getting threw it and then gettin back to the chase. Screwing everything I've achieved so far
Recovery plan is meetings locally and have support from all my family. The biggest is got new cell # and recently changed careers, 3months ago so im away from all my old users. I'm currently being trained to take over the family biz building homes with my pops so when I'm n the paws phase I'll b alright. He'll help me push through this
Yeah, we can't give specific taper.advice but in order to not feel the w/d u do need to go slower. That's what ***** about the subs, their unbelievable half life! From what I've read, the drs that do actually do the taper do it really slow, like months for a mg drop. If u can get some help, spouse, friend, parent, and time, my opinion would be to just go for it, but having help would be a lot more helpful. My opinion though.
Hi there- We can talk about sub on this forum but we're not allowed to offer taper plans, unfortunately. I can tell you that your taper is way too fast though...can you slow it down? Give your body enough days to adjust to the drop before you drop again; at least a week. You may need to get down to crumbs before you jump and that's fine as long as you stay on the path.
What about recovery care and support? Anything lined up?
