YAY Just finished day 7!!!

I'm not going to lie and say I'm ready to go dancing...but I'm starting to feel human again.  I even had a really good nap today (and now I can't sleep because of it).  My appetite is slowly coming back and I'm not so emotional.

Thanks to everyone here....I didn't talk a lot but just reading all the questions and comments were extremely helpful.

I'll be around a lot since we only have one NA meeting in my area...that meets twice a month.  I know I have a rough road ahead....but I feel more positive about being able to survive the whole ordeal now.

To all of you who are just starting to detox...please come back as often as you need to....even if you don't want to talk...read what everyone is saying.  You won't feel so alone, you'll read some awesome advice...some things will work for you and others won't.  You will get a lot of support...so don't give up....come back as often as you need to!

A whole week is a GREAT success...a week you never want to relive.  That's what keeps me from ever "going backwards."  Congratulations!

Thank you everyone.  I know that all I've taken is one small step on the road to recovery but I have faith in myself.  I WILL succeed.  Throughout my life I've managed to kick caffeine, alcohol, cocaine (all at different times of course) and I'll kick this too with the help of all of you, a sponsor and NA meetings.

Congratulations on your 7 days clean! Keep fighting, because it will continue to get better and better. I strongly urge you to reach out to the people at the meetings. Get some numbers and set up a solid support system. Just because you only have 2 meetings a month in you area, doesn't mean you should be left in the cold if you have a crisis, or just need some support and encouragement. And, of course, we are here for you and cheering you on! Be well and keep your head up.  :)
