Cravings Blow!

It's so crazy how all of a sudden a craving can happen so fast. I have learned that we always have to keep our guard up and be ready for them, but when a craving happens the mind changes, well mine does. This craving hit so fast and I feel guilty for thinking about dope, but I thought it would be better to post and whine then to let this craving grow to a point where there is no turning back. I will not use and will let myself suffer till this passes, I just wanted to complain cause it makes me feel better lol.

It does not matter if we have a day clean or a year, for those of you that can admit to being an addict, cravings do happen and we have to learn how to fight through them. I want to make my 3 months again and I am so close. This anxiety s ucks and I need a punching bag right now haha. This too shall pass, but it's not easy right now. For anyone craving right now, lets fight through this and remember how great life is clean. Drugs suck, cravings suck, but we all have the choice to work through it. I am trying, but I feel sick. Please let this craving pass, PLEASE.

Kiss rocks, and so does Seether. If that doesn't help maybe try Swamp Dogg's version of Sam Stone. The Johnny Cash version is cool too, as well as John Prine 's. For some reason something about that song alway's makes me want to stay clean. Maybe then try out some Born Slippy (Nuxx). It's kinda long but seems to help me.
Hope it's over soon. I am very early in but have found music to be a wonderful distraction. Gonna listen to some now.

I had of a craving yesterday. or maybe not a craving but a long thought. usually when i get thoughts of pills, which it crosses my mind daily but, the thought leaves pretty quickly. now yesterday i thought about the pills and it stayed in my mind awhile. but i kept weighing the good against the bad. like what would happen if i caved in and remembering how good i feel now. i just remember what road those pills took me down and i have closed that road so i cant go back. good grief i am rambling.
i dont like it but this is something that we or maybe just me, will have to fight my whole life.  i will always have to keep my guard up.

I don't crave pills. I was hooked on oxy's and went cold turkey off of 320 mgs and it was hell, but I would take w/d's anyday over this. My Drug of choice is cocaine and the mental cravings make me vomit and physically sick. I am logging off soon and tomorrow I will wake up feeling great:) Ty for the support guys n gals. I am ok.

check that out..i listen to this song over n over when im craving, i find strength in it and it helps me to remember what im fighting for while im craving...i sometimes forget about what im fighting for when i get like that...

So weird, but I am standing outside yesterday filling up my dog's water bucket, feeling great and all of a sudden I have this mental picture in my mind of two lortabs, a soma and a cup of coffee.  I actually didn't even crave but just that thought out of no where really p*ssed me off.  It does show the slippery slope doesn't it?  
I am glad you posted, it's good to just share and you "oldtimers" here are the ones I look up to the most. ;-)
