DONT GIVE UP!

Hello everyone I haven't posted in a while but this forum did wonders for me and I just wanted to come back and give my thanks and encourage anyone going through the hell we made for ourselves. I was an Oxycottin addict for over 2 years and went through suboxone treatment but had troubles with that as well. My last day of use was April 7th and I fell 100% better I have been working out a lot recently and it really helps, I know no one wants to do it but believe me I didn't but it helps sooo much. My drug use destroyed my marraige and I am now going through a divorce because of what i did but I believe it is for the best. All of you are in my thoughts in prayers stick with it and don't give up the light at the end of the tunnel will come!!

Congrats on your recovery since April 7th!! That's fantastic.  I'm so sorry to hear that your marriage ended, but you seem to have it in perspective to the grand scheme of life.  So glad that you are working out.  I would go nuts if I didn't have a physical outlet (exercise).  I was a jogger for 20 years but cannot do it anymore because of my back.  Lately I've gotten in to Yoga and am loving it.  As a recovering addict, I need as many positive outlets as possible to keep me from even thinking about drugs.  Thanks for your post...most encouraging words!
