Good for you! A substance abuse counselor will be great for you. I go to several support groups each week but my counselor is my biggest help. We can really focus on the issues that are mine alone, something that is much harder in a group setting.
Yes i have had withdrawals from two days of using, it really can happen. Because as soon as your brain gets even the littlest signal that it can slow down on natural production of feel good hormones, it will and essentially put you right back at square one. It stinks, i know, especially to think that if God forbid something really awful were to happen that would really require us some narcotic pain relief, that it could really set us back. Once an addicted brain it doesnt take much at all, mainly because we have basically messed up our brain chemistry.
Your doing fine, remember to get some exercise, it helps so much and keep us updated.
Luv, Jacky
You have had withdrawls for using as little as 2 days?!? Yikes!
Thanks for the support and prayers. I am seeing s s/a councelor Monday :)
Yes i find thats the case for me too, i have detoxed plenty of times and each time it gets worse. It doesnt matter either if i used for two days or two years, every time it beats me up harder than the last. A great reason to make this your last time right? lol!!! You are doing great, and i always found day ten to really be a corner turning day, so physically, you should be home free real soon! Keep up the good work and dont forget to see a substance abuse counselor, it will really help you to get to the root of this, and there is a root cause for us all, as well as help to keep you groundes and keep you from relapsing. I will keep you in my prayers, God Bless. Luv, Jacky
