Day four opiate free!!!

Day four is well on it's way and I feel amaaaaazing! I live in la and took a drive out to San Diego and for the first time in ages I blasted the music and enjoyed the scenery.
So many years of being in a bubble...it's weird how many beautiful things and feelings I missed in life while my brain was wrapped around being high or figuring out how I was going to get more pills.
So glad I found this site. Reading all of your posts is the main reason I'm determined to kick this.
Oh yes, and I finally told my mom all about what I am going through and finally admitted to being an addict. I feel like a huge burden is gone and that I have amazing support to back me now.
I'm realizing that I failed every other attempt to get clean because I thought I could do it alone. Now I realize how important honesty and support are.
Awesome feeling. I hope everyone is doing well too!!!
Xoxo

Congrats on day 4. That is when I always started to feel better too. I'm glad that you are getting help and letting others know about your addiction. I tried to do it alone and it doesn't work. Keep posting and learn about the mental stuff ahead. You can read PAWS 1 under health pages and How to Intervene on a Craving. They were a great help to me. Keep posting. Corey

Thank you so much ness!!! Yeah, I feel amazing!
I had been reading your posts on here and am glad that there are so many of us to support eachother through the first few days free of the drugs.
It's funny that we always think we are the only ones, and are all alone... But here we are, all in this together!

This site and the help of my loved ones and of course my own will all contributed to where im at right now. I like this place better than where i was 4 days ago!  Keep up the good work hun!   xoxoxo Nessa
