suboxone

My addiction specialist shrink has had me on Suboxone for over 4 years - I think it is WAY too long. I was sober a year when she placed me on a suboxone program (she thought I was going to get street opiates/heroin) starting out at 16mg a day for the first two years then a gradual decrease.
Here I am trying to kick once again and am having the most horrible time - aches, yawns, sweats, diarrhea, etc.

I took a norco yesterday just to help the pain but am now afraid of slipping back.....

A few (sober) friends think I should sue due to her getting me strung out again - feel like *** and am confused

hey thats great. i hope and pray you went into the detox. what will your plan be after the detox? please let us know how you are doing.

My insurance will pay 100% for a detox center. I've already called Las Encinas in Pasadena and they will take me tonite.

My shrink sent me an ALL CAPS yelling reply to my email asking what I should do regarding my kick - she is placing blame on me for not visiting her sooner prior to our already established 30 day taper regiment - I'm at a loss for words....

I want to thank everyone who replied to my post - sometimes I feel like I'm alone in this struggle and we ALL know that is not the case. The Depression that comes with my 'broken' brain can really tell me things that aren't true.

you have now stopped taking the suboxone?? if so please do not take any norco, that will just prolong the detox from the subs.
when was your last dose of subs?
keep yourself hydrated. take hot baths with epsom salts, take immodium

I would taper off suboxone.  That is a long time to be on it.  Good luck.

        Can you quit taking suboxone.  And taper yourself down, go to meetings for support you may need detox and treatment to sounds like your in a catch 22 no way to turn.  So go see your addictions counselor and tell him or her what you want to do and you will get advise on treatment center for drugs. Hang in there and keep posting.
