Usually I go to the gym 3X times a week so I won't smoke and drink after work. It's just something that's good for me and keeps my mind preoccupied. Seems like it would be good for withdrawals too!.
I think the gym has been a great distraction from thinking about meds. I have a goal to get some 6-pack abs...pretty lofty goal considering I ate whatever and whenever while taking meds ... LOL...but it's a goal nonetheless and keeps me focused.
Thanks for responding all...love hearing each others stories.

I did and still do even though it was really hard. That's the only reason I suggest to newer people becasue I've done it.
After reading everything I could about withdraws I always saw exercise come up. I have an injured knee and the dr. says it healed I still haven't tested it. I use to jog, now I'm doing yoga and it helps.

Not much helps with the RLS except my treadmill....that really kicks it. Works it right out of me...
YES I think it makes a major difference .I felt better 2 weeks after getting clean ,I really believe it was because I worked out EVERYDAY the first few I thought I was going to die but I pushed threw it .....
I have no choice but to excersise daily. I wrestle steel all day long and it really does help cleanse the body but it also about kills me some days. You start out with really no energy then work between 4-12 hrs and you are really drained and begging for sleep and just can't seem to get there. I am doing better everyday though.
I just can't seem to shake this dull h/a I've had nearly everyday since day 1.
God bless
