I was the first one to answer your post so i wanted to be the first one to say CONGRATS to you on your 1 yr of clean time!  I am soooooooo proud of you!  You came to this forum sick and broken.  You asked for advice, we gave it to you and you took it and ran.  You have shown incredible strength and determination.  I am so happy for you and your family.  Thank you for being a friend and for being a part of my recovery~~Guard Up!!          sara

Thank you sara for posting this and Thank all of you for your comments. Everyone that commented on this thread has touched my life at one time or another over the past year and I thank you for that. Living sober is a much better way and I am grateful that I found my way before it was too late. There have been alot of people over the past year that have lost their battle and paid the ultimate price. I had a great day at work today and everytime I took time to glance at the postings here made my day. Thank you, my friends for taking time to post.. you made my day. Andrew!!   WOW!!   Already???  I think I was the second person to post to you! I'll have to look...and you were already 4 or 5 days clean when you found the forum. I remember you just stood up straight with your head down and plowed through!!  Amazing...and here you are!!

I'm so proud of you and all of us here...we know it's not easy;ever!! But it gets better and now there's this!

Wow thats wonderful,I was at a meeting on sunday-nite,and a woman selebrated her 1yr medallion.I like when i watch the show Intervention,especially when they show the person   2,or 3 months clean and sober.You probable look great. John

hey dude a BIG CONGRATS on a yr clean good to see you pop in now and then it lets people know this is possible you alway have a kind word for everbody and I have always considered you an asset on the forum hope to see you post more now go out and treat yourself right this is a huge milestone your chances for long term recovery are greatly increased hang in ther dude enjoy your family they have had you back for a yr now

A year goes by quick, well not the first seven days or so. Lol. I am so appreciative of all my friends here that have supported me in my sobriety.  I don't post much anymore but I still read post nearly every day for strength and inspiration. I need to get more involved helping the people just starting out. I just want to say Thank You to everyone but especially sara,ang, gnarly, vicki, addict3 and all the ones that helped me early on. This site was and is a lifesaver. Sara and Ang, thankful to be able to call you friends as well. Andrew
