First Day on Subox

So I'm on my first day of Subox, 8mg, and I took my first dose about 3 hours ago and I sort of feel high.  Not quite the same as when I was taking hydros or oxys, but still, lightheaded, general warmness, just the general feeling of highness.  As anyone else experienced this on Subox?

yes, stick with it, it is a life saver, literally!!!

penelope- dont torture yourself hun, there is no need, and this does NOT mean you are weak or you failed, methadone is the worst of any drug. you have done great so far, but if you have come to a point that you cant take it anymore, there is help...if you decide to go this route, let me know, transitioning from methadone to sub CAN be tricky, but you are on such a low dose now, it may be just fine...but i have been this route, so if you need any help, questions or guidance, let me know...ok?

Suboxone is a miracle drug!! I truly believe that. It changed my life…Or made my life normal again, which is the change I so badly needed. Stick with it. The high will go away in a week or so. The hardest thing for me was going from wide awake to so tired I couldn’t keep my eyes open, in about a half a second. It’s actually pretty crazy how fast you energy level will change throughout the day. But that only lasted a couple of weeks for me. After that, it’s been smooth sailing. Like I said… Stick with it.. It’s well worth it…

This is normal but shall pass as your body adjusts, Im thinking about going on sub myself, as the withdrawals from methadone are draining me!!

Yes, I experianced some kind of strange feeling. It does level out after awhile, to where you should start to feel pretty normal. It took me about 2 weeks to really level out and adjust and get rid of the sudden sleepies. You probably haven't had those yet. You will. Good luck, I think the Sub is a life saver.
