yeah i have been reading about that too.  and i had noticed my heart rate was high before i even realized what the heck was happening to me.  i even said to my husband, i think i am about to start my monthly early, my heart is racing and i am cramping like i am in labor.  awful, awful day!  when i knew what this was i started looking up the medication and found all of these poor people that have had serious and fatal happenings with this stuff.  that is why i am scared but i have remained calm and plan on schooling my doc a bit about what the heck he has done to me!

What you need to do is call that doctor and tell him that you want off.  He should advise you on a taper or give you something to help you so that you are safe while coming off of them.  I went CT, and I never had a seizure, but I have read on here about people who have.  I had seizures while taking them, because I took so many.  It has a long half life, so that makes it easy to take too much over a 24 hour period without even meaning to.

Let us know what he says!  You also need to watch your BP.  It can get really high during tram WD.  Depression is another issue.  I had to go on an AD for a little while.

You can do this!  It feels so good to be off that junk! : D

i was perscribed 6 a day and then recently with the tolerance that i have built up, i lost complete control and was taking up to 12 a day.  (50 mg tablets)  even though i knew they werent really helping with the pain anymore.  just putting me in a better mood.  and what i dont understand is that i told the doc they werent working but he wouldnt try anything else so he started giving me 60 at a time and told me that it was ok to take a couple more than what was directed.

When you call, just tell them what is happening and that you need some help getting off the pills.  They SHOULD help you, but it's hard to say.  You are right.  You may have to do this alone!  If you do, then just try some mag/cal (inexpensive at Wal Mart), over the counter pain relievers and hot baths.

How many were you taking a day?  You really should taper.  That would not be expensive, and it would be safer and more comfortable.

i agree!  yes i plan on calling my doc as soon as his clinic opens this morning.  my problems are that i dont have insurance and my husband recently lost his job, so i have no cash to get anything over the counter either.  my scrips were only 4 dollars at wal mart so i didnt have any trouble affording those.  so i am not sure what i am actually going to be able to do for myself.  i may just have to hit it head on with no help, i am really scared about that.
