The more Bears fans the better! Too bad we got smoked last weekend!
Be sure to stick around this forum. It will help you so much. It's hard to make the ones around us understand what we are going through. Everyone here has been or is currently in your shoes so we can help so much. Let us know each day how things are going.
Oh not another bears fan!!!
thanks brian i am a bears fan myself!
Since you already tried stopping and had withdrawals you know you are physically addicted. It is different for everyone but have heard that you can have mild withdrawals after just 2 weeks of using opiates. Another thing that can make withdrawals worse is if you were snorting or chewing them.
You will probably still have some sort of withdrawals because you didn't stop using long enough to get through withdrawals. Tapering to a lower dose does help but you have to stick to the plan and continue to drop your dose. But if you stop for a few days and then take a large amount and then stop, you will probably be thrown right back in to withdrawals.
Making the decision for sobriety is the first and toughest step. The withdrawals are horrible but it is a small price to pay to live life clean. This forum is so helpful. There are some wonderful and caring people that will not judge even if you are still using. This is a place where you can share your story, problems, and anything else and we will be here to support you.
There are a few things that can help ease the withdrawals a bit. Check in to the amino acid protocol in the health pages. You can find that on the right hand side of the screen. Also be sure to exercise. I know it seems almost impossible to do so but even a short walk around the block will help. Also be sure to push the fluids and eat as healthy as you can. Protein shakes help if you are not able to eat solid food for a few days.
Stay mentally focused and remind yourself that failure is not a option. You have to want this more than anything you have ever wanted. Please stick around this forum and read and post. The more you educate yourself on addiction, the higher your chances are in getting and staying clean. Best of luck and if you need anything, please let me know.
