The only OTC cream that i've had that's any good was something called 'arthro-aid direct'.
I'm not sure if it's available over there though. works pretty good. It has shark cartilage and glucosamine in it and it sinks in really quickly. smells allright too(clears the nose too). worth trying if you can find it.

Hi
If you can find a small private drugstore or chiropractic office that sells Biofreeze, I found that works extremely well - better than anything I tried OTC.  I have never seen it in CVS or any Chain Store - but I got mine from the Chiropractor and found it in a privately owned drug store.  Get the gel - it works better than the spray if you can find it.  Hope this helps.

Hi sweetie!!!  Yes, the cool, damp weather hurts me too.  I take 3 ibuphrohen at a time.  That's really not that much.  My r.n. friends says that she takes more, up to 800mg.  I just take what helps me.  I also bought  D-Ribosone,  it's a powder, a natural that is supposed to help the muscles, and boost energy levels that are low.  They say it takes some time to get into the body good.  I hope it works, man!! that stuff is expensive from Akins!!!  I think if I keep trying it I will order online thru herbs.com or some reputable place.

It depends are where the worst of the pain is - my in-laws have given me those pain patches that you buy over the counter and they have helped me tremendously.  Of course, with fibro the pain can be all over.  I choose the areas that hurt the most and use them there.  Also, there's the Aspercream.  I get the kind that does not smell like Bengay!  LOL!!!!  The rainy weather and constant changing weather does the same thing to me.   Good luck and I hope you feel better.
