I'm hurting. Off methadone for 24 hours. First time since 03-07 that I've gone more than a couple of hours without pain pills. It's all good!

Way to go, being pro active makes positive progress, be re active makes us re act everything over and over. That first chip takes the longest to get, heII, it took me a good 20 years to admit I needed help, 24 hrs, 30 days, 60 days, all that seems so short compared to getting that first chip. Way to go, a new life has already started, keep it up my friend, you are worth so much more than drugs. Getting out is critical, you are obviously smarter or less stubborn than me. Keep up the good work.
I went to NA 1996-2003. Then due to work & travel slowed to a stop. I go to church but I know there are things to be talked about & work on where people have been through what you have. My church is supportive. I'm on disability & had to turn over my nursing license due to my medication. Time to live again. Praise GOD!!!
I got out of the house today & went to a NA meeting. I haven't done anything but sit on the couch for over a year. It felt weird to be in a room full of new people. I got my new key tag.
Know that we have been there and everyone of us with some time will say, it is worth the worst of it. You are welcome to rant and rave, whimper and complain, we are here to remind you that you are doing the right thing. Hang in there bud, a new life is coming, minute by minute.
Congrats, today is 444 days off methadone, it was rough I wont lie but there is life after and its possible. I was on it for 0ver 5 years daily. Take it one day at a time and dont think about how you feel, just keep moving forward, get lots of water and a good multi vitamin.
its important to stay busy as much as you can no matter how bad you feel. I would go to the beach at 2 am and lay in the sand

Today is day 10 off methadone for me. It's not easy but no way will I give up my life to that drug . Hope it goes well for you
