Hi friends!

I'm starting day 19 clean from oxy and many other narcotics. I pray for all of you in the wd phase.  It's horrendous.  My question is, when does the fatigue go away???  I'm always tired and am physically weak.

Congratulations on 19 days!! The energy will eventually come back. I find that when I get up and go to the gym I have a lot more energy than the days that I don't. Good luck and hope you get it back soon :)

I was on 170 mgs of methadone and came off it using suboxone. not the way ur probabley thinking. I lowered my dose to lets say 80 mgs. then I called suboxone the company and they told me to get a sick as possible then wait an additional 6 hours. ( yeah right) anyway, after that she said to break the pill ((at the time they were) into 4, then break one of the 4 into 2. ( a very small piece) then take one of the small pieces and wait 45 minutes and if I felt the slightest bit better go ahead and take the other small piece and see if u feel even a little better then the 1st little piece, if so, take the rest of the 8mg pill and It should and did make me feel better. and from then on in I kicked it with the subs.... anywhere from 2 to 3 a day, that I don't quite remember. good luck, it really works. just make sure ur sick. otherwise u'll wish u were dead.....

Your habit sounds comparable to mine and I would say the energy will slowly start coming back any time now. Great job on the 19 days by the way. I think you will really be turning a corner soon and start sleeping way harder and that is what seems to bring the energy back and reduce that heavy feeling that I know you are experiencing. I weigh about 160 pounds and I swear my arms and legs felt like they weighed 100 pound apiece! Keep it up friend.
This is not due to damage but simply due to your body readjusting to the absence of the horrible opiates. ;)  so in other words do not start worrying about permanent damage and never getting your energy back because it will come back soon. I guarantee you that.  Get out and get in some good cardio exercise if you can every day. It will also help.

hang in there, we've done some messed up **** to our bods and expect to be cured in a few weeks, well, i'm here to tell u it gets so much better. time depends on the individual. rule of thumb bout a month and things get pretty  ok. then it just keeps getting better,  u might experience some uncomfortability now and then but remember, the worst is over and better days are coming. best thing is to stay occupied but that's easier said then done, I know. go to some meetings  and get with peeps who are going through similar effects. stay positive and this too will pass... good luck and stay clean, or else the cycle just starts all over again..

I'm at 15 days and I feel you. I'm beat up. There are some supplements you can try. I started l tyrosine yesterday and I had a little energy. It's an amino acid used to help with serotonin, dopamine, and endorphins. You shouldn't take them if your are on an antidepressant because you could go overboard. There's another complete raw amino acid blend that has a ton of amino acids that your brain and body need to "reboot" from drug use. I'll find the name and get back to you. I have two kids and I'm a single mom so I HAVE to do things. If I didn't have kids or work, I know I'd be in my bed for days. How are you sleeping? Melatonin works ok. Good luck and congrats on your accomplishments

It takes time...everybody is different. It took me a few weeks at least.  Are you taking vitamins/supplements?  Protein drinks?  One thing that can really help boost your system is exercise.  Are you able to get any exercise? Go to a gym...or even walking around outside seems to help engage your natural endorphins. Best of luck and keep pushing forward! Congrats on ur 19 days!
