wow, that is great!
i hope yours goes as smooth as mine did. well, finally did. i had been trying for 2 years to quit. hah- just wouldn't give up i guess. the taper was the only way i got through it this time. and it is now 7 1/2 months clean. i did not realize it was that long till just now.
Dec 2- that was my last day.
have you picked a day for the end yet? it really did help me.
I'm on 20 mgs as of today. think I'm getting closer! ;)
i was on hydrocone and vicodins
what were you tapering off of? I've been tapering off norco 10mg and I think thats GREAT advice ro remind yourself how much worse it could be if you had gone cold turkey. I'm going to keep that on my mind every day! :)
well my taper lasted 1 month. from 90 mg/day down to 10 mg/day. i would go down a little more each week and it seems like your body gets use to it. that is when it is time to lower it again. by the time i quit my withdrawl was next to nothing.
hang tough. when you are not feeling so great just remind yourself of how much worse it could be if you had stopped cold turkey.
I tapered for about a month and I felt each time I lowered my dose. It depends on how long you want to do this. Most go cold turkey to get it over with.
With my taper I did it slow enough I didn't have to miss work.
Good luck
I did not taper for months so I have no idea how it will feel but they say if u go slow enuf it is not bad...i kept losing motivation so just tapered real quick til i got a long weekend off and got it over with...i would imagine each time u lower ur dose u will feel it and it would seem that when u got down really low u would feel it as well....not sure tho...perhaps someone who did a long taper can help...good luck
