Norco withdrawels

I quit taking NORCO 10/325 two days ago after being on them for the last 2 years, 4-6 a day. What can I take over the counter to help with withdrawel symptons?

Hi again it is slow right now but you will get some experiences on here...I just wanted to share some info regarding my husband and his back issues..We own a drywall bus..as you know that is very hard on the body..He has 3 disc out and one is leaking..also shoulder pops out, hip issues...Any way he did not want to be a slave to the pills nor have them around me..He went and got the shots..I know they cost alot..I think the shot was not a steriod..but something dif...You most likely have been there done that...I have serious pain issue my back is what u have..I do with out meds but I do not have to work..My doc said no because it would trigger my addiction in more then one way...So anyway Hang tight there are a lot of people here with the same situation u r in...OK
God Bless u and I wish u well..

As far as sleep goes, I'm almost getting too much.. Last two days I got off work and was out by 9, which is unusual cause I'm usually up till 11ish or 12. I take Naproxen because of the anti-inflammtory values..........guess I better come real clean as why I'm taking anything...........
I had a bilateral hip replacement last October and during the rehab phase of that, my back issues starting coming back. I was diagnosed with bulging discs back in 2008 and have had issues with my back since then. Last year the pain with the hips became very severe and so diabilitating that I was taking NORCO and Oxyodin just to get through the day, my job is very labor intensive. I haven't been taking the Oxy lately, about a month, but now that I'm back to work, the back issues have come back, and with that the pain med useage.
My new back Doctor said my back issues (now the spine is shifting) warrants me to take off time from work but I just came back after being off for 7 months for my hips, which by the way are doing GREAT, one of the positives! I do not want any more time off from work, school and am just trying to get on with my life and limit my pain. The job I'm doing at work is less labor oriented because of my seniority but there still are times it can be physical. In a nutshell, I need help in dealing with the pain and not going overboard, while still trying to stay at work and in school and be productive. Any and all suggestions would be welcomed!!!!!!

So you are aware of the stages in w/d and just want to know what to use...All of us have dif issues..Mine was Anxiety to the moon (benzo, dones, adderral) and then to a weak state..We all have this and the sleep seems to be a big one..I passed the RLS & stomach thing this time around..
Do you have vit/min??? You do know that the magnz is a detoxer and helps with sleep along with the ds, cal, and a melation..There is alot more things to use in different stages of the w/d..I just got the Rhodiola at the health store. I read about it on here and 6 m later i like it...It provides nutritive support for healthy stamina levels..Bs are a big one...I also get the compunded L-s (a-v) they are amino acids..for balanced protein protection..You will find alot of info on here..Glad u came back...Oh and the protien drinks and the elctro drinks...

Thanks for the reply. I was clean for almost 20 years until a few surgeries in the last 4-5 years had me on painkillers. I have Ativan, tramadol, and naproxen on hand. I've read on different sites that Ativan can be used. This is hard, I can't miss work and am in school so time off is not an option....

I have never tried it but people swear by the Thomas Recipe.  That will pretty much sum up the physical part.  You can do this and you will be recieving a lot more responses and support as there are going to be more steps that you have to take after the physical withdrawals in order to have success with recovery,
It is possible and you can do this!!!
Welcome to Medhelp!!!
