Hi there! I'm so glad you posted. I have a post on here called Trying to Quit Tramadol, you can read what I'm going through there. You may have noticed that there are ALL kinds of bits of advice out there for easing withdrawals, and it seems no two people have the exact same withdrawal symptoms or are aided exactly by the same things.
I suggest reading up on some of the OTC remedies such as Immodium tablets and Benadryl, as those are cheap, easy to get, and can help quite a bit. I guess double-plus doses of Immodium helps ease the withdrawals you get in your body (especially your gut but apparently not limited to that) and the ingredient in Benadryl (which is also found in products to help you sleep) will help you at night. Well, I have only used it at night but if you're off work you might find it helps jitters any time.
I have used a few other products off the Thomas Recipe (have you Googled that?) but don't have access to Valium so haven't done that. I don't really want to romance benzos so I'm pretty happy I haven't had the option. Talk about a dangerous, difficult drug to get off of. But the Tyrosine they recommend has helped lots of people, as have the other supplements.
I see you're down to two pills. Have you ever tried to stop totally? How has your body reacted when you've cut down before?
All the best to you...I come here often right now and will be wanting to see how you are doing :) Take care!

The time off of work will help you tremendously.....no kidding! You'll need it. I got better after about day 5 cold turkey. I was taking more than you are now, and I stopped. Not the funnest time of my life, but I did it anyway! You can do it too. You have to be determined and take advice and do the right things. Lots of hot baths will help. Definitely read the Thomas Recipe. There are some symptoms that linger a while, but it's nothing that will kill you. The only problem with stopping is if you have some underlying health condition. It's never a bad idea to talk to a doctor, but don't let them give you meds that are also addictive to help the WDs. Docs are kinda bad about that! Plus, most of them don't take Ultram seriously.
Let me know if you need help! I've been through this about a bazillion times!!! My last was almost three years ago, so if I can do it, you can too!
Thank you so much for replying I will read that right now. I have some time off work at the moment specifically took it off to try and kick this. I will give ct a go longest I have went before is 2 days then withdrawals been unbearable. Kinda excited for the first time to be clean.
Hi there! Coming off Trams c/t is not advisable! Trams are a nasty drug and can cause seizures if stopped abruptly! My best advice is taper slowly off of these wth the help fo a Dr if you can?? Is that possible??
As far as help with the symptoms, Check out the Thomas Recipe! It gives alot of advice on things to do to help.
Tramadol is a hard drug to kick but many have done it. If you do go c/t, just know it has a longer half life so the w/d's will last about 6-7 days but will start getting better from there!!
Best of luck and congrats on taking your life back!
