I want to quit pills but I can't

I am so sick of pills running my life . Like today im almost out and all I think about is getting more. I have called all my dealers multiple times to try to score.I am at the point where life not worth living Like this I just can't quit I've tried im ready to just give up. I have bad thoughts about how to die.I've asked for help but no one seems to care.I am seeing a shrink but she just puts me on more meds I have major depressive disorder and anxiety im on so much medication im supposed im not dead already.I've been on here before but I was never feeling this bad.do you have any ideas? I need help.thank you.

Well today I will be taking my last norcos so I guess im going cold turkey my anxiety is already bad I don't know how to do this.

Your right, w/d's do suck....but so does constantly living on these pills!!! You wont die, you'll feel like ****....but its temporary and it will stop! We ALL had to do it....and alot of us didnt have the xanex to make it a bit easier....you can do this! Find the Thomas Taper on this website and get all of the vitamins and minerals it says to get and take them! Get a bag of epsom salts for long hot bathes (i did this like 3/4 x's a day), dont make any plans for the next 4/5 days, get fresh fruit and veges (my appetite was **** so protein bars, meal bars, high protein shakes, etc...) lots of gatorade, water! DO NOT DEHYDRATE, as this will make u feel worse! Immodium for the stomach issues and just time....time and patience. You didnt get in this pickle in a couple of days, you wont get out of it that quick either. The major physical should start to subside in a week, but then you have to find aftercare!
If theres one thing you take from this, please hear this....unless you find an aftercare that works for you, this is pointless!!!!! I havent seen anyone get clean on this site yet, and stay clean, that doesnt do some form of aftercare. Meaning N/A, A/A, counselor, addiction counselor, etc....

It won't kill you to get off the norcos (unlike xanax et al which you have to taper.) So why don't you do it now?

I remember begging dealers, thinking about nothing else. Get off the horrid merry go round.

It's always the same I get ahold of some and few days im out again and freaking out again . I'm just so sick of this. I don't know how to let go. I'm just so scared of withdraw .these norcos are going to be my death. how did you stop?

You need to just bite the bullet and w/d off of the norcos and tuesday, bring ALL of your medicines to this new dr and dont ask him, TELL him u want off!

Yes I forgot to mention that I also take metformin and the micro is for herniated disc lot of leg and back pain.

I know it would not be good!!! The xanex alone if gone c/t can cause seizures and hallucinations, the depression meds are supposed to be tapered as well. In my opinion, NO, u cant stop ALL of these meds cold turkey. Being out of the norcos might be a little more doable though with the xanex, taken sparingly! You need a legitimate dr to take a look at all of these meds and have them make a proper taper schedule to get u off this ****! Maybe, now is the time to get off the norcos b/c u have some "feel good" meds to help u cope with w/d, but why the gapa??? Isnt that for diabetic nerve pain?? Are u diabetic as well???

With all of the meds your on not only are the norcos addictive, but so is that gapabertin, and xanex. You will w/d within 24 hrs from your last norco but with all the other meds....im kind of flaberghasted??? Is there any other dr u can go see, give them the list of meds and tell them u want a taper plan immediatly!!!
Im not sure what can be done b/c we can get you through the norco issue but then u have other drugs in your system????

All are from the shrink except the norco that's from my primary but he knows everything im taking it seems like they are the crAzy ones instead of me.

It's the same kind of life we ALL had until we decided to stop this freakin crappy roller coaster.  I can remember making all sorts of arrangements when holidays would come around b/c I knew my drs office would be closed, so I kept tabs on my dealers religeously!!!! With the norcos you have left you will have to go as slow as you can.  We can't give out taper advice but I would assume if you go as slow as you can handle.....but I'm also thinking that perhaps some of the other meds would help with the w/d off of the norcos? I know you can NOT stop the benzo's cold turkey.... You need a new damn doctor for sure!  If I may ask....all of these meds are prescribed by the same dr? So he realizes that he has you on all of this?

Yes its the norco been on them fifteen years  .longest I went without was for 24 hours tried tapering for down to 8 a day didn't stick couldn't do it.I get scarred im not gonna wake up but lately I don't care anymore. What kind of life is this?

Jesus that is quite the cocktail!  And I do realize some of those can't be done cold turkey.  Which one are you out of?  Is it the norco?

I stuck with her for now due to my insurance . Im looking for a therapist but not many take my insurance there's a waiting list.

Do you like your shrink?  It sounds like all he/she wants to do is medicate you instead of getting to the root of the problem.
